Here's a quick look at some of the biggest story lines Scouts Inc. will focus on in Week 8:
• No. 1 Texas is coming off a thrilling 45-35 win over Oklahoma, but the Longhorns had better not dwell on their success. No. 11 Missouri comes to town this week looking to bounce back from a tough loss to Oklahoma State. Longhorns WRs Quan Cosby and Jordan Shipley may have been one of the most underrated receiver tandems in the nation heading into Oklahoma game, but that changed when they scorched the Sooners for a combined 20 catches, 234 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown. The problem for the Tigers is that knowing you have to limit their production and actually doing it are two very different things. Missouri's pass defense has been one of the most porous in the FBS this year, and its corners are going to have a hard time matching up with Cosby and Shipley. Castine Bridges and Carl Gettis aren't fast enough to run with Cosby downfield and they aren't fluid enough to stay with Shipley, a crisp short-to-intermediate route-runner, coming out of their breaks. In addition, the Tigers have been hurt by busted coverages at times, so look for Cosby and Shipley to help Texas keep pace with Missouri's potent offense much like they did last week against Oklahoma.
