One of the most difficult jobs in college football this season will belong to new Marshall coach Mark Snyder.

The former Ohio State defensive coordinator took over his alma mater one day before the spring game and is faced with an inexperienced team that must now compete in Conference USA. That's a tough task for a rookie head coach.

Suffice to say there haven't been many weeks of summer vacation for Snyder, who has spent every waking moment trying to learn his personnel.

"Sure, we lost a lot of good players here," Snyder said. "There are always goods and bads in everything. I like to look at the cup as being half full. We're going to be young, but you know what, we're going to be young together and we're going to grow together. A lot of times if you do it the right way it leads to great things down the road."
