Titans may need to draft CB

April, 10, 2007
Pacman Jones' season-long suspension hits the Titans harder than the eight-game suspension of the Bengals' Chris Henry because Tennessee has an uncertain future at cornerback.

Jones could theoretically play this season. To take part in the final six games of the season, Jones has to obey every edict defined by commissioner Roger Goodell, plus he has to clear himself legally in cases he's involved with in Georgia and Las Vegas. It's a long shot for him to be cleared by then.

The Titans, then, have to make a decision on Jones' chances of playing for them again. If he is found guilty of crimes in those two cases, it's not out of the question that Goodell would extend the suspension into 2008 or possibly give him a lifetime banishment.
