Wright, Crosby best of the bunch

The NFL held its supplemental draft Thursday. The Dolphins selected former Southern Cal defensive tackle Manuel Wright in the fifth round. As a result, Miami will give up its pick in the same round of the regular draft next April.

Wright still must compete for a spot on Miami's 53-man, regular-season roster this fall. If he earns a roster spot, he will count against the Dolphins' salary cap this year.

The league will expand Miami's rookie pool this year, then extract from the 2006 pool. The players not selected in the supplemental draft, are now free agents.
