The 101st edition on the Backyard Brawl between West Virginia and Pittsburgh featured two of the premiere athletes in the Big East conference in Mountaineers QB Pat White and Panthers RB LeSean McCoy.
The pair lived up to their reputations, combining for several electrifying plays in Pittsburgh's 19-15 victory. White rushed for 93 yards, improvising well and doing a sensational job of avoiding the rush, but it was McCoy who stole the show. The third-year sophomore carried the ball 33 times for a career-high 183 yards and scored two touchdowns. McCoy continues to prove he is ready to make the jump to the NFL and he warrants a late-first or early second-round grade.
