Film Notes: Michael Vick evolving

After breaking down film, Scouts Inc. gives its take on what to watch in the NFL this weekend:

Vick's newfound patience

Obviously, Michael Vick is on a roll, and it is amazing to break him down on film and see how he has matured and how the game is slowing down for him. He has great weapons outside, and his receivers love to run vertical routes. That leaves corners in turn-and-run situations with their backs to the ball -- and that gives Vick a great advantage to tuck the ball and run. He also almost always has a safety valve in TE Brent Celek if nothing deep is open. But the biggest change in his play is his patience in the pocket to let the play develop, which involves multiple receivers. Instead of tucking the ball and running after one read, he is looking at his progressions, and this really opens up the passing game.
