Cleveland now the class of the AFC North after a busy offseason

Phil Savage, senior vice president and general manager of the Cleveland Browns, is quickly proving he is one of the best minds in the football business. And why wouldn't he be? He learned from one of the best, Baltimore Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome, and Savage has taken much of the knowledge he acquired under Newsome to build a Browns team that looks like one of next season's best stories.

Much like his former boss in Baltimore, Savage has had success in the draft and has not been afraid to take chances on players with perceived character flaws if he feels the reward could outweigh the risk. The big difference, though, is that Baltimore never has been as big a player in free agency as Cleveland has been so far this offseason. Under Savage's watchful eye, the Browns are exploiting all means of finding talent.
