Stevens finally living up to expectations

There are a lot of intriguing story lines and potential stars in Super Bowl XL, but nobody seems to be talking about the two tight ends, Seattle's Jerramy Stevens and Pittsburgh's Heath Miller. These talented guys could have a real impact in this game.

Both offenses love to use the tight end in the short to intermediate passing game, and both offenses love to attack the middle of the field. Here's a quick look at each tight end:

Jerramy Stevens, Seattle
Until this season, Stevens had been thought of as a classic underachiever. Early in his career, he was lazy in his routes, showed marginal explosiveness in and out of his cuts, and simply wasn't a very competitive player. In 2005, though, it's a totally different story, as Stevens has provided the Seahawks a legitimate pass-catching threat from the tight end position.
