The Broncos and Seahawks are both 11-2 and have the inside track on home-field advantage in their respective conferences. They're the 2-1 co-favorites to win the Super Bowl in the future book at the LVH SuperBook here in Vegas. I was hoping that we'd be able to separate them in this update of the NFL Vegas Bettors' Poll, but our panel of handicappers -- Teddy "Covers" Sevransky, Sal Selvaggio and yours truly, Dave Tuley -- all have them tied as well.
These numbers are meant to be a current snapshot of the relative strength of all the teams if they were to meet on a neutral field, and they can be used to compare to the lines being offered on upcoming games (with adjustments made for home-field advantage). So that would mean that we project a potential Broncos-Seahawks Super Bowl as a pick 'em affair.
You can check the chart below to see how a team's stock has risen or fallen during the course of the season. Our first in-season ratings were Sept. 24 (after Week 3) and then on Nov. 5 (after Week 9). The Broncos have been our No. 1 team throughout, though the Seahawks have now closed the gap even after losing 19-17 at San Francisco on Sunday.
