With the 2014 NFL scouting combine in the rearview mirror and free agency about begin, Insider's experts have produced the Offseason Blueprint for all 32 NFL teams. Included are each team's front-office priorities, projected lineup, draft and free-agency targets, cap situation and much more.

This is the Offseason Blueprint for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Front-office priorities

1. A relatively tight cap situation in 2014 and an ominous-looking cap situation in '15 will necessitate some tough choices. Defensive end Mike DeVito ($4.9 million against the cap) and WR Donnie Avery ($2.8 million/cap) may be casualties. CB Brandon Flowers and OLB Tamba Hali may have their contracts restructured.

2. The Chiefs likely want to get a long-term deal done with quarterback Alex Smith, but it probably won't happen quickly because of the cap. But they'll look into it.

3. Getting Eric Fisher healthy is the first priority along the offensive line. The Chiefs will have to decide whether to move him to left tackle to replace departing unrestricted free agent Branden Albert. Fisher struggled as a rookie, but health was a factor.

4. The continued development of A.J. Jenkins as a deep threat is something to keep an eye on. Word is he started making big gains late in the 2013 season, and the Chiefs are looking forward to seeing how he progresses during the offseason. Additionally, look for them to address the wide receiver position in the draft. At the NFL combine, general manager John Dorsey said he expects big things from Jenkins in 2014.

5. The addition of another pass-rusher would be nice, as Hali, 30, isn't getting any younger. But major upgrades via the draft at both corner and safety are an absolute must. The Chiefs' needs include a free safety and another corner to play opposite Flowers.
