After breaking down film, Scouts Inc. gives its take on what to watch in the NFL this weekend:
1. How can Buffalo exploit the Patriots' defense? Surprisingly, the Bills are the No. 1 rushing offense in the NFL after two weeks, but how they get that production is interesting. The Bills love to run the ball with Fred Jackson out of a spread formation with at least three receivers. It usually means they are going up against softer sub defensive packages, which give the Bills excellent blocking angles. New England will use a ton of those sub packages with multiple linebackers and safeties, and you just don't see the Patriots in a lot of base packages, which should be helpful to Buffalo. Also, against a lot of man-to-man Pats schemes, Buffalo's receivers will run the defenders off with their backs to the ball, and that opens up the running game.
