The Los Angeles Rams are promoting Sophie Luoto to director of football operations, a source confirmed to ESPN, making her the highest-ranking woman in football operations for the Rams. Yahoo Sports first reported that Luoto was expected to be promoted.

Rams' Weddle, 6-time Pro Bowl safety, retiring

Rams safety Eric Weddle, who made the Pro Bowl in six of his 13 NFL seasons, announced his retirement on Thursday with a year remaining on his contract. Weddle played nine seasons with the Chargers and three with the Ravens.

Rams inside linebacker Kenny Young, who played college football at UCLA, is giving back to the LA community this offseason. Young gifted $5,000 from his Tackle Young Foundation to Grape Street Elementary School in Watts to put toward the purchase of books. Young visited students at the school Wednesday and emphasized the importance of reading. "These little kids are our future," Young told ESPN. "For me, it's investing into that."
