Saquon Barkley is third in the NFL with 1,124 yards rushing, behind only Ezekiel Elliott and Todd Gurley. He says it's an honor to be up there with them and Denver's Phillip Lindsay who is fourth and "killing it" this year. Winning a rushing title at some point in his career is among Barkley's goals. "Yeah, I want to be great. I want to go down as one of the best. ... If I don't get it this year, I'm going to get it at some point. I promise you."

Seth Walder ESPN Analytics

The Giants had their best pass blocking day this season in their win over the Redskins, recording a pass block win rate of 74% -- best among all teams thus far in Week 14. Not only that, but they did it against a Washington team that ranked sixth in pass rush win rate entering the week. The Giants entered Week 14 with the third-worst pass block win rate of 38%. All five of the Giants' offensive linemen performed well in pass block win rate in the game, but rookie LG Will Hernandez led the way with a PBWR of 94%. PBWR and PRWR are ESPN metrics that use NFL Next Gen Stats.

Odell Beckham (quad) "felt a lot better" today, per coach Pat Shurmur. They'll see how it goes this week. TE Rhett Ellison (ankle) and S Curtis Riley (wrist) the other notable injuries.

That fluke play to end Eagles-Cowboys officially eliminates the Giants (5-8) from NFC East contention. They are still alive for a crazy wild card scenario.

After dropping a pass in the first quarter of Sunday's game, Saquon Barley went over to the O-line. He told them: "That series is on me. I'm going to make up for that. I promise you guys." He had 153 yards rushing and a touchdown in the second quarter alone.

Barkley rushes for 170 yards, Giants rout Redskins 40-16

Saquon Barkley rushed for 170 yards, including a 78-yard touchdown to surpass 1,000 for the season, Eli Manning threw for three scores and the New York Giants routed the Redskins 40-16 Sunday to effectively end Washington's already-slim playoff hopes.

Jordan Raanan ESPN Staff Writer

This was the ideal game for the Giants. Lean on Saquon Barkley (170 yards rushing). Work off the play-action. Eli Manning had three TDs on 22 pass attempts. Defense made plays (3 turnovers) and scored a TD for the third time in four weeks. It equaled a 40-16 demolition of the Redskins.

Saquon Barkley's 29.7 PPR fantasy points gave him an 11th game with at least 20 points this season. That's a new rookie record by any player at any position, breaking his tie with Eric Dickerson (1983).

Saquon Barkley is providing the offense with Odell Beckham Jr. not playing. Barkley has 159 yards rushing at halftime as the Giants lead 34-0. He has now topped 1,000 yards for the season and recorded four straight 100-yard rushing games. First half was a total domination led by Barkley.

Jordan Raanan ESPN Staff Writer

Saquon Barkley now has four TD runs of 50 or more yards. This one was 78 yards. The Giants had three touchdown runs of 50 or more yards in the previous 10 seasons.

The Giants have the early lead thanks to Curtis Riley's 9-yard INT return for a touchdown. It's the third time in four weeks their defense has scored. The Giants didn't have a defensive or special teams TD previously.

Odell Beckham Jr. out. Kyle Lauletta officially active as are LBs B.J. Goodson (neck) and Tae Davis (ankle). Goodson and Davis were questionable. The full inactive list: QB Alex Tanney WR Odell Beckham Jr. (quad) DT John Jenkins C Evan Brown TE Garrett Dickerson DB Kenny Ladler CB Tony Lippett

Rookie Kyle Lauletta is again expected to be the Giants backup quarterback for the second straight week. But coach Pat Shurmur said there isn't much to gain unless he gets in the game. Shurmur doesn't give his backup any first-team snaps during the week, a bit unusual. Lauletta split scout team reps at practice with Alex Tanney.

Eli Manning and most of the Giants arrive for Sunday's game against the Redskins. It will be interesting to see what their offense looks like with Manning and Saquon Barkley without Odell Beckham Jr. Expect the Giants to lean on their running game. Barkley has three straight 100-yard rushing games and the Redskins are allowing 134.4 rushing yards per game over their last five.

Mike Clay ESPN Writer

Sterling Shepard was active for seven games in which Odell Beckham Jr. was out last season. In those games, Shepard enjoyed the following target totals: 8 - 9 - 12 - 6 - 3 - 16 - 8. That's an average of 8.6 targets. Expect Shepard to be a big part of the passing game against Washington, which makes him a solid starting option in fantasy.
