Saquon Barkley watched film of himself during the bye week and came away realizing he needs to be himself. Didn't see that on film. "There is a reason why I got drafted here. There is a reason I'm one of the best running back's in the league. And I'm just going to go out there and do what I do." Also said he's feeling better health-wise.

TEs Evan Engram (foot) and Rhett Ellison (concussion) not practicing. Would seem to be an upset if Engram's ready for Sunday vs. Bears.

The Giants signed CB Derrick Baity to the practice squad to take the spot of OLB Tuzar Skipper, who was signed to the Steelers active roster Tuesday. Baity was an undrafted free agent this year out of Kentucky.

Evan Engram (foot) came out of the boot Monday. He sees an "upward trend" and considers himself ahead of schedule. Thinks he could get running and cutting by the middle to end of week. Engram considers it "definitely possible" to return Sunday vs. Bears.

Pat Shurmur indicates if the starting five O-line is healthy (Solder-Hernandez-Halapio-Zeitler-Remmers) they will remain the starters.

Jordan Raanan ESPN Staff Writer

Still no Evan Engram (foot) at practice Monday. He had expressed optimism about returning this week. This isn't promising. WR Sterling Shepard (concussion), CB Janoris Jenkins (concussion), C Jon Halapio (hamstring) and RT Mike Remmers (back) all practiced in some capacity. LT Nate Solder was dealing with a personal matter and TE Rhett Ellison (concussion) worked on the side.
