The Steelers have $18.25 million in salary cap room according to NFLPA's latest report, the sixth-most in the NFL. A lot will change come March. Trading Antonio Brown would add $1.045 million to that.

In promoting Shaun Sarrett to Steelers offensive line coach, Mike Tomlin said, ‘we have full confidence in his coaching abilities, and we look forward to him using his experience as he has been preparing for this opportunity to take on the challenges that will be presented to him." Sarrett was Mike Munchak's trusted offensive line assistant before Munchak took a job with the Broncos on Monday.

Munchak agrees to be Broncos' O-line coach

Mike Munchak has left the Steelers to join Vic Fangio's staff in Denver as offensive line coach. Munchak was a finalist for the Broncos' head-coaching job. Denver named Fangio to that position on Thursday.

The Steelers are losing offensive line coach Mike Munchak to the Denver Broncos, according to 9News Denver. This is a big one. Munchak's contract was up and the Broncos pounced. The offensive line is arguably the Steelers' strongest position, and players loved how Munchak taught them.

Brown to address Steelers drama 'at a later date'

Receiver Antonio Brown said Friday on Instagram Live that he will address the situation with the Steelers "at a later date," promising that "my actions will speak louder than my words."

Steelers have hired Teryl Austin as a senior defensive assistant/secondary. Former Bengals and Lions defensive coordinator was on the head coaching circuit not long ago. Will help Steelers' growing subpackage football.

Through a representative, Antonio Brown has respectfully declined comment on trade developments. But sources close to the All-Pro say he's prepared for anything -- he's open to returning, but also the chance to show he can succeed in any offense. Any team that takes on Brown's contract will get a player plenty motivated.

Rooney: 'Hard to envision' Brown on team in '19

Steelers president Art Rooney II told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on Thursday that given the way the season ended, it's "hard to envision" All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown being with the team when training camp opens.

Guard David DeCastro is the second Steelers player to pull out of the Pro Bowl. Cleveland's Joel Bitonio will replace him. Antonio Brown withdrew on Tuesday. Five Steelers Pro Bowlers remain.

Steelers LB Bud Dupree acknowledged team has ‘family issues‘ in light of Antonio Brown's alleged flare-up with Ben Roethlisberger, but defensive players are in the dark. "We have to put it in the open and stop hiding," he said. "The teams that are still playing right now don't have their issues. We have to put pride to the side. It needs to be us, the players. No matter how you feel, let's address it."

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin had a productive meeting with defensive coordinator Keith Butler as part of his post-season sessions with his staff. Nothing official but it wouldn't surprise to see return of Butler, who has one year left on deal.

Spoke with linebacker Bud Dupree, who said Steelers OLBs had a group text about report Joey Porter was divisive with offense/defense, didn't agree. Porter told his position to not get in middle of any issues with Antonio Brown and Ben Roethlisberger, said Dupree, who added a problem is defense not knowing about offensive issues. "We have to learn how to be together," he said.
