Why the Flyers will beat the Penguins

December, 14, 2010

I'm playing catch-up today. I'm just back from calling a wild matinee between twin state rivals Vermont and Dartmouth at Thompson Arena in Hanover, N.H., for ESPNU on Sunday afternoon. The Catamounts blew a pair of three-goal leads and fell behind in the third period before rallying for a 6-5 win. That's entertainment, baby!

I have to offer another public thanks to the entire crew -- as well as my colorful color guy, Barry Melrose -- for their much-needed help and support. We'll be in Princeton on Jan. 9 for the ECAC battle between the Tigers and the Colgate Red Raiders. I'll remind you all again in the days leading up to the game.

My college weekend did throw me back a day. So, I'll give you my picks for a light Tuesday schedule followed by a belated edition of the Monday 10.

Pittsburgh Penguins at Philadelphia Flyers
