Last season, the Philadelphia Flyers were swept by the Boston Bruins in a conference semifinal matchup where head coach Peter Laviolette pulled his goalie in each of the first three games of that series, and made seven in-game goalie switches combined over the team's 11 playoff games. All told, netminders Brian Boucher, Sergei Bobrovsky and Michael Leighton posted a woeful .894 save percentage and 3.19 GAA during the first two rounds.
