Shan United wins the Myanmar National League crown for a second consecutive year after ending the 2020 campaign with a 2-0 win over Yadanarbon on Thursday.
The title, Shan's third in franchise history, guarantees it a place in next season's AFC Cup, along with a chance to qualify for the AFC Champions League via the playoff round.
Having only reclaimed the lead of the top of the table last weekend, the three points were enough to see Shan finish three points clear of second-placed Hantharwady United - who were held to a 2-2 draw by Ayeyawady United.
Keith Martu Nah opened the scoring for Shan nine minutes before halftime after breaking free inside the area, after a rash decision from opposition goalkeeper Pyae Lyan Aung saw him race off his line and lose out in a 50-50 challenge.
Although Nah was faced with an acute angle and a recovering defender striving to deny the opportunity, the Liberian coolly squeezed his shot in to the back of the unguarded net.
Then, in the 70th minute, another mistake from Pyae Lyan Aung saw him drop a routine catch inside the six-yard box, leaving Nanda Kyaw with a simple tap-in to seal the victory.
