Hamburg climb off the bottom of the Bundesliga with first win of the season

Hamburg celebrated their first win of the season with a 2-0 triumph at fellow strugglers Darmstadt lifting them off the bottom of the Bundesliga.
Michael Gregoritsch scored for the second week running, after grabbing a brace against Werder Bremen, to put the northern side ahead in a game which was understandably scrappy given the stakes.
Darmstadt tried to respond in the second half, but Matthias Ostrzolek killed the game off in the last minute as Hamburg finally won in the league at the 13th time of asking.
The win lifts Markus Gisdol's men above Ingolstadt and to within a point of Darmstadt, who occupy the relegation play-off berth after their ninth defeat of the campaign.
