Gateshead end long wait for league win

Gateshead won a National League game for the first time since November as they saw off struggling Chester 3-1.
The visitors scored two goals on the stroke of half-time, first through Paddy McLaughlin after a short corner routine before Jordan Burrow added a second in added time after terrific work by Wes York down the right.
Burrow then turned provider seven minutes into the second period as he fed Jordan Preston to fire a third into the top corner.
Harry White placed a shot low into the net with 20 minutes to go to reduce the arrears, but the Heed held on for a first win in seven league games as Chester slipped five points from safety.
