La Liga title hopefuls Sevilla have bolstered their midfield with the signing of Walter Montoya from Rosario Central.
The 23-year-old has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with the club, who are eager to overhaul Real Madrid's four-point lead in the Spanish top flight while also competing in the Champions League.
After passing a medical in Seville on Monday, Montoya told his new club's official website: "Here they are used to playing in big games and getting to finals.
"I've managed to watch some and they were great. I'm looking forward to living it first hand.''
Sevilla boss Jorge Sampaoli boasts a wealth of Argentinian talent at the Sanchez Pizjuan, with Montoya joining compatriots Joaquin Correa, Luciano Vietto, Matias Kranevitter and Nicolas Pareja.
