Loic Remy has signed a two-year contract with Nice, the club announced on Friday, marking the forward's return to France after five years abroad.
"It makes me really happy to come back to France, in a league which I've missed and to sign with Lille, a really big French club," Remy said in a statement.
The 31-year-old left Marseille in 2013 to move to England with Queens Park Rangers before impressing on loan with Newacastle and moving to Chelsea a year later.
He scored 12 goals for Chelsea over three seasons, mostly appearing as a substitute, and was loaned to Crystal Palace in 2016.
Remy then moved to Las Palmas in Spain last summer, but spent the second half of the season on loan with Getafe.
Lille finished 17th in Ligue 1 last season, just escaping the relegation places.
