Jays' Wells still hitting, Lind and Hill aren't

May, 25, 2010
Yesterday I wrote about the strides Jose Bautista has made this season, while my colleague Eric Karabell talked about Edwin Encarnacion's power output. However, the resurgence of Vernon Wells has been one of the big stories for the club as well, as he's hitting .301 with 11 homers.

I think it comes down to the fact Wells simply is healthy again. It was a rough three seasons for Wells since his five-year run of big offensive output in 2002-06, and I was very encouraged when I saw him play recently that Wells' swing looked as quick as I've seen it in the past couple seasons.
