Silly season continues for national team

The U.S. roster for next month's fast-approaching match against Brazil is expected to be released early next week. Most of the 23-man World Cup team should be on it, but U.S. assistant coach Jesse Marsch, speaking on this podcast, says that MLSers will probably spell several Euro-based Yanks who have mostly been out of action since returning from South Africa and figure to be rested for the tilt.

"Certainly now there are new faces that need to be considered [as] the new cycle begins," Marsch said. "Hopefully we can look at some young guys who are in good form and give them a shot."
