Chester Brown’s (Hinesville, Ga./Bradwell Institute) long journey will end with a new beginning. The Samoan–born lineman has found a new home after having to decommit from the Bulldogs due to a new immigration law on the books in the state of Georgia.
“I am going to sign on national signing day,” Brown said. “I am going to sign with the University of Central Florida.”
The UCF Knights will be getting a 6-foot-5, 332-pound athlete who is not only switching commitments, but switching positions.
“Coach [George] O’Leary wants me to play defensive tackle,” Brown said. “He told me that I am just too fast to play on the offensive line. He says that with the speed and versatility that I have, that it is unreal for me to play offense.”
As of this morning Brown was uncommitted, but after talking with his family he decided to start his next odyssey in Orlando, Fla.
“I am excited -- a Ndamukong Suh in the making,” Brown said.
