Zac Johnson was a recruited walk-on when he arrived at Michigan to play safety for Lloyd Carr in 2007. He spent five seasons in Ann Arbor, Mich., played for three coaches and midway through his career earned a scholarship after initially turning down Division II offers out of high school.

Johnson was a special teams player his entire career, making 15 tackles.
