Nope, this certainly wasn’t some April Fools' joke.

Late Friday night, Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder A.J. Pollock, sixth in Wins Above Replacement in 2015 and my choice for fantasy baseball MVP, fractured his right elbow on a play at home plate in an otherwise meaningless and extraneous spring training game against the Kansas City Royals. The Diamondbacks announced surgery will be needed but a timetable on Pollock’s return, as of this writing, was not immediately available. By the way, Pollock is currently going in the second round of ESPN average live drafts, and many drafts have already occurred.
