Should you buy low on Carlos Santana?

Fantasy owners haven’t enjoyed owning Cleveland Indians catcher Carlos Santana this season. Sure, he added third base eligibility early on and he has contributed modest power, but a .159 batting average through nearly two months is painful, and the result has Santana -- a top-five catcher for sure on draft day -- showing up on free-agent lists. Now that Santana has been placed on the 7-day disabled list with a concussion suffered Sunday behind the plate, he’s sure to become more available. Of course, that’s a mistake. The right move features patience and buying low.
