The Associated Press Preseason Top 25 was released on Thursday, and there were no major surprises. Kentucky, Michigan State, Louisville, Duke, Kansas and Arizona sit at the top entering the season, which begins next week.
There’s a reason these teams are the favorites to cut down the nets come April at Cowboys Stadium. However, each has its questions heading into the season.

It’s been deemed by some as the greatest recruiting class in the history of college basketball, but John Calipari’s current crop of freshmen are that -- freshmen. Guys like Julius Randle, Andrew Harrison, Aaron Harrison, James Young, Dakari Johnson, Marcus Lee and even Derek Willis are talented, but all were in high school at this time a year ago. Thus, it’s easy to identify the primary weakness of this team: youth, inexperience and the lack of a proven leader.
