Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon gave a less-than-ringing endorsement for Grant Balfour following another rough outing by the reliever Sunday against Seattle. "He's our closer as of today," Maddon said after Balfour allowed five ninth-inning runs to raise his ERA to 6.46.
