The Toronto Raptors acquired Quentin Richardson from the New York Knicks in July as part of the Andrea Bargnani deal just to make the numbers work. Friday Toronto placed the 13-year NBA veteran on waivers. Richardson was never part of Toronto's plans this coming season and instead if waiting until training camp the team decided to take care of business now.
