Tale of the tape: UK vs. KU 2013 classes

Kentucky and Kansas finished No. 1 and No. 2 in the final 2013 basketball class rankings, but even that doesn’t do justice to how good their classes are.

These recruiting hauls are among the best in recent memory, with Kentucky landing three No. 1 players at their respective positions, five in the top 10, and six in the top 25. Meanwhile, Kansas signed the No. 1 overall prospect, three in the top 20, and five in the top 50.

Both Kentucky and Kansas also did an amazing job of filling needs and putting their teams right back in the national spotlight as they brought in some of the nation’s best players to their respective programs.

With such dominant recruiting classes in the same year, let’s compare the two and break down Kentucky and Kansas into four categories and an overall bottom line to see where each program has the advantage in its 2013 class.
