With six weeks remaining until the early signing period, only five of the 25 five-star prospects in the class of 2017 are committed. Over the next several weeks, we will take an in-depth look at each player’s recruitment.

Recruitment so far

Brown has been on high-major schools' radars for several years now after establishing himself as one of the top prospects in the 2017 class during his early days at the high school level. While his stock dropped a bit last year, Brown had a great spring and summer and moved squarely back into five-star range. The talented perimeter prospect cut down his list in late July to eight schools, keeping California, Arizona, UNLV, Alabama, Oregon, Ohio State, Georgetown and Kansas on his list. Brown told ESPN that he plans on making his decision this fall, and will likely sign during the early period. He hasn’t eliminated any of the eight schools from his summer list, although Arizona seems to be a school prioritizing other prospects at his position. With that said, Brown has taken unofficial visits to California and UNLV (and Arizona), and will take his fifth and final official visit to Georgetown this weekend -- meaning every school still in the mix will have him on campus at some point.
