With the recent success of Dez Bryant and Justin Blackmon, wide receiver Eldridge Massington (Mesquite, Texas/West Mesquite) holds his offer from Oklahoma State with a lot of prestige.
“It’s real big,” Massington said of the offer. “Look at their receivers, Dez Bryant and Justin Blackmon. I try to mimic their games a little bit. I know this is big for me.”
Massington, the nation’s 20thranked receiver and 20thranked player in the state of Texas, has offers from Notre Dame, UCLA, Michigan, TCU, Tennessee and several other BCS programs. He caught 41 passes for 667 yards and six touchdowns during his junior season.
Massington said he was recruited by Oklahoma State receivers coach Kasey Dunn.
“It feels good, but I still feel like I’ve got a lot of work to do,” Massington said. “Once they come down to see me, I still have to be able to give them a little something.”
