Willis sees Indiana turnaround on horizon

INDIANAPOLIS -- Junior defensive tackle Kevin Willis (Indianapolis/Lawrence Central) is familiar with Indiana already, but he will be back in Bloomington very soon.

The Hoosiers are Willis’ first and only offer at the moment, and he has visited Indiana several times. He also has former teammates at Indiana, including quarterback Tre Roberson.

“I know they’re going to turn it around this year with Tre coming back,” Willis said, “and Coach [Kevin] Wilson is turning around the whole football team.”

Willis’ next visit to Indiana will come in a few weeks when he takes in a spring practice March 2.

Northwestern could be the next school to offer Willis. He plans to visit the Wildcats in the near future.

“They’re really interested in me right now,” Willis said. “I have a personal day going down there. They can’t wait for me to come down.”

Iowa is also showing interest in Willis, and he said LSU has recently contacted him.
