Texas hit the road for an early kickoff against Kansas on Saturday, which gave its coaching staff an opportunity to shift its attention to Oklahoma's marquee home game against Notre Dame that evening. The Longhorns had to have liked what they saw.
Four star cornerback Cole Luke (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton) was on hand to watch the Sooners lose 30-13.
It was the second time this season that the Longhorns were either off or on the road when Oklahoma hosted some of Texas' top targets and lost. It also happened on Sept. 22 when the Sooners fell to Kansas State with Caleb Benenoch and Marcell Harris on hand.
It could be a Catch 22 of sorts as far as Luke is concerned, though. Because as bad as Oklahoma may have looked, Notre Dame, which has also offered Luke, looked that much better.
Luke has taken official visits to all three schools. He has not commented on if Oklahoma's dismal effort or Notre Dame's impressive outing hurt or helped either school.
