High two-star cornerback Jahmahl Pardner (Rochester, N.Y./Aquinas) has made a commitment to play for Pittsburgh, multiple sources report. He is set to make an official visit to campus on December 9th.
"It's just a great environment," Pardner told the Rochester Democrat. "When I went there, everyone loves the university. I just feel like the coaches care about me and I can grow."
Bowling Green, Temple, Akron, Buffalo, Albany, UConn, Western Kentucky, Georgia Tech, UMass and Rutgers either offered or recruited the 6-foot, 175-pound prospect.
He caught 43 passes for 745 yards and 11 touchdowns as a senior. On defense, he posted 31 tackles, three interceptions and three fumble recoveries.
Parnder has registered combine-verified figures including a 4.74 40-yard dash, 4.44 20-yard shuttle and 30.5-inch vertical.
He is the 19th Class of 2012 verbal for the Panthers. The group is considered one of the nation's top 30 by ESPNU and arguably No. 1 in the Big East.
