Michigan-Ohio State rivalry heats up at The Opening

The linemen worked all week at The Opening vying for a spot in the final five for both offense and defense. When the final groups were announced, Michigan offensive line commit Michael Onwenu and Ohio State defensive line commit Jonathon Cooper were both on the respective lists.

The future rivals gave everyone a taste of what things might be like in the coming years when they squared off in one-on-ones.

They went back and forth and got a bunch of opportunities to best the other.

Things heated up once the final round came about and the future rivals took three reps against each other. Onwenu stopped Cooper on the first try.

Cooper then rebounded and squared up the score on the second effort.

The third and final rep was set to decide the winner, and Cooper ultimately came out on top.
