Best of the college football recruiting visits: SEC

With Alabama, Mississippi State, Missouri and LSU on bye weeks and Florida/Georgia a neutral site game, there weren’t a lot of visitors over the weekend in the SEC. Still, there were recruits who attended games and some of those prospects took to social media to post pictures, videos or even voice their opinion of the visits. Here’s a closer look at the sights and sounds of SEC recruiting in Week 9:

Three-star linebacker Jordan Carmouche took an official visit to Arkansas this weekend and while he may not have posted any photos from his experience, Razorback fans did like what he posted on Twitter. The 6-foot-1, 213 pound athlete announced his commitment to Arkansas on Twitter during his official visit. His pledge gives the Razorbacks 15 commitments, including three ranked in the ESPN 300.

Florida picked up a big ESPN 300 defensive end commit, Antonneous Clayton, earlier in the week and the four-star prospect attended the Florida/Georgia game as a spectator, and not a visitor of either school. While at the game in Jacksonville, Clayton had a chance to meet former Florida defensive end Dante Fowler who now plays for the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars. The two posed for a picture together during the game.

ESPN 300 linebacker Ben Davis visited Auburn to watch the Tigers suffer a difficult 27-19 loss to Ole Miss on Saturday afternoon. The four-star linebacker posed for a photo with Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn before the game. Davis has the Tigers and Alabama near the top of his list.

Kentucky hosted several visitors for its tough loss to Tennessee on Saturday. Among those visitors included 2016 quarterback commit Gunnar Hoak and a 2017 quarterback commit Mac Jones. The two signal-callers posed for a photo together and Jones posted it on Twitter.

Jones also took the time to tweet another photo prior to the beginning of the Kentucky/Tennessee game.
