Indiana lured three-star cornerback Nigel Tribune (Jacksonville, Fla./Raines) away from Iowa State on Friday, according to multiple sources.
The 5-foot-11, 165-pound senior originally picked the Cyclones in July. Tribune traveled to Bloomington, Ind., on Jan. 11 for an official visit with the Hoosiers and is now set to play for Kevin Wilson's Big Ten squad.
ESPN writes in his scouting report, "This young man is a sleeper on the recruiting trail with natural quickness and coverage skills. He lacks great size and speed on paper but plays bigger and faster than his combine measureables and is a very smart and aware football player."
The "on paper" figures referenced above include an electronically-timed 4.73 40-yard dash, 4.55 20-yard shuttle, 32.4-inch vertical and a 73.5 Nike SPARQ.
Following the parting of ways with three-star defensive tackle Jacobi Hunter (Houston/Cypress Falls) and addition of Tribune, Indiana still holds 19 players for 2013.
