The New York Jets are in a tough spot this offseason, in need of re-tooling their roster while also burdened with some restrictions on acquisitions due to their salary cap situation. Some releases of high-cap figure veterans can help alleviate that problem, but they may need to play it conservative when it comes to signing outside free agents.
