Aside from moving Talbot and Carey to the Boston Bruins for Caron and a sixth-round draft pick (2016), Avalanche management busied itself on trade deadline day with the exchange of predominantly minor-league players. With several points -- and a couple of teams -- between themselves and the final wild-card spot in the West, Joe Sakic & Co. are likely already looking ahead to the offseason.
