During the past several seasons, the Sharks have been a team that put forth a dominant effort through the regular season, but ultimately fell short in the playoffs. Some believed the club would "blow things up" -- as the saying goes -- this past summer, and it was certainly a confusing time, which included the stripping of the "C" from Joe Thornton's chest.
