The O's are bound and determined to get one of the impact bats available, with Chris Davis remaining their first choice. What has been fascinating is observing two of the game's best negotiators, Orioles owner Peter Angelos and super-agent Scott Boras, go head to head, with both men just as likely to cut a deal as walk away. Justin Upton, Yoenis Cespedes and Alex Gordon are the alternatives if Baltimore doesn't re-sign Davis. The O's also are looking for another starting pitcher, with Yovani Gallardo being a potential target.
