The Toronto Blue Jays have acquired 24-year-old outfielder Colby Rasmus from the St. Louis Cardinals in an eight-player blockbuster. This trade came right on the heels of the Jays getting Edwin Jackson from the White Sox and immediately flipping him to St. Louis.

The Blue Jays also receive pitchers Trever Miller, Brian Tallet and P.J. Walters in the deal. The Cards bolster their rotation by acquiring right-hander Edwin Jackson and southpaw Marc Rzepczynski from the Blue Jays along with reliever Octavio Dotel and center fielder Corey Patterson.
