At Oklahoma, they know what a championship team looks like. They've seen quite a few of them before, up close and in detail.

In many ways, the 2007 Sooners bear the unmistakable stamp of a big winner, the kind of team that can roll to a conference title and challenge for the big prize -- the national championship.

The Sooners have athletic talent, overflowing as usual with size and speed. They have tons of experience, with starters returning all over the field. They have enviable depth at almost every position, especially on the offensive line and in the secondary. And, of course, they have the unshakeable confidence that comes from a proven coaching staff and the program's long, glorious tradition.

That said, there isn't the buzz coming from Norman that one might expect from such a loaded team. While, for example, offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson offered, "We left spring with a lot of excitement about where we are and where we're going."
