There are several ways to analyze a college football team's returning experience. Each year in my preseason College Football Preview, I publish an experience chart that takes into consideration returning starters, number of upperclassman starters, percentage of yards and tackles returning and career number of offensive line starts returning.

While my final experience chart will not be completed for a few months, here is a list at first glance of five teams that will head into the 2014 season with the most experience.

Indiana Hoosiers

The Hoosiers were one of the most experienced teams in the country last year but failed to meet a lot of people's expectations (including mine) by finishing 5-7. In 2014, they remain at the top in terms of experience as their 18 returning starters are the most among any team in the power five conferences.
