Each week during the college football season, Mel Kiper and Todd McShay kick off the week by settling a debate, looking at emerging NFL prospects and peeking ahead to next week.

The big question: Which players are in the mix to be selected with the No. 1 overall pick? (And is Jameis Winston in the mix?)

Todd McShay: We don't even know which team will end up with the No. 1 pick yet, so there's still plenty left to be determined with regard to this question. But based on what we know right now, I'd narrow it down to six players who have a reasonable chance to be taken with the top pick.

Oregon QB Marcus Mariota and Florida State QB Jameis Winston are the two most likely No. 1 choices.
