Here's a look at how programs in the Big 12 are faring on the recruiting trail heading into national signing day on Feb. 5.
Baylor
Commitments: 27
ESPN 300 commitments: 6
Who they have: The Bears' 2014 class doesn't have many holes, as it has talent on both sides of the ball. Baylor's class is highlighted by WR K.D. Cannon (Mount Pleasant, Texas/Mount Pleasant), the nation's No. 4 player at the position. With Cannon, Davion Hall (Texarkana, Texas/Liberty-Eylau), Ishmael Zamora (Houston/Elsik) and Chris Platt (Willis, Texas/Willis) running routes, Baylor's QBs will have plenty of options to choose from. Defensively, the Bears are expected to be led by LB James David (Rockdale, Texas/Rockdale) and DB T'Kevian Rockwell (Wylie, Texas/Wylie). Look for Rockwell to compete at "Bear," Baylor's nickel position.
Who they want: Now that Baylor has all of the players it wants, look for the program to try to flip a couple before signing day as an added bonus. DB John Bonney (Houston/Lamar) is a player who the Bears have their eyes on. Bonney is a four-star safety who can make a good secondary even better. Another player to watch is CB Trai Mosley (Pflugerville, Texas/Hendrickson), a Nebraska commit who played high school ball with DB Chance Waz, who recently flipped to Baylor after decommitting from Nebraska.
