2023 NCAA Tournament Bracketology
Could the Kansas Jayhawks become the first repeat champions in men's college basketball since Florida in 2006 and 2007? That's among the questions to consider during the 2022-23 season as Division I's 360-plus teams are now marching to the 2023 NCAA tournament -- a journey that will end at Houston's NRG Stadium for the Final Four on April 1 and 3. ESPN will be there every step of the way with its 2023 bracket projections, evaluating the current state of the bubble and identifying the top seeds for the game's showcase event.
Bracket Watch
How good is the Big 12 this season? The NCAA men's basketball committee might have to supersede its own bracketing principles -- twice! -- to accommodate all the great teams in the league. Remember, the committee is required to place the first four teams from any conference in separate regions if those teams are seeded on the top four lines. In other words, the likes of Kansas, Texas, Kansas State and Iowa State will all be in different regions this year regardless of geography. But at the moment, Baylor and TCU also fall within the top four seed lines, meaning the Big 12 will literally create some separation anxiety for the committee. Six teams from the same conference seeded no worse than No. 4, if it happens, would be unprecedented.
