2013-14 Preview: Memphis Tigers

Memphis Tigers

2012-13: 31-5 (16-0 Conference USA)
In-conference offense: 1.09 points per possession (2nd in C-USA)
In-conference defense: 0.91 points allowed per possession (1st in C-USA)

Freshman Austin Nichols was rated as the 15th-best player in the 2013 recruiting class class. The year before, sophomore Shaq Goodwin was No. 31 in the Class of 2012. It's fair to say, then, that even with an abundance of perimeter talent, Memphis' hopes of putting together a special season rest on those two power forwards performing close to their billing.
